The School Site Council (or SSC) is the decision-making body of the school, made up of administration, educators, staff and parents/caregivers. We are currently seeking three more parents or caregivers to serve as board members.
As a member, you will be a key decision-maker in determining how the HMCRA budget is spent to achieve our school-wide goals. The annual budget will be developed with your input through the Site Planning Process and writing our School Plan for Student Achievement.
No special skills are required, just a desire to better understand our school site and help make sure our decisions align with our community’s goals.
The SSC functions best when our committee includes the many, diverse perspectives of the HMCRA community. Please consider nominating yourself by emailing ssc@harveymilkpfc.org by September 20. Ballots will go out to the entire parent/caregiver community on September 23, with the new members introduced on September 29.
We will have our first SSC meeting of the year on Wednesday, October 2 at 6 PM in room 209. This will be a hybrid meeting via Google Meet.
