Ms. Francis: Over Three Decades of Heartfelt Teaching

Ms. Francis

Summary

Ms. Francis has been part of HMCRA since 1995, inspiring generations of students with warmth and care. Now a 1st grade teacher, she creates a joyful classroom and lasting connections.

I began my journey at HMCRA in 1995, teaching 2nd grade when it was still known as Douglass Elementary. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching 2nd and 3rd grades, serving as a teacher coach and reading specialist, and since 2006, teaching 1st grade—my absolute favorite.

In every role, I’ve led from the heart, finding joy in connecting with children as they discover and explore the world around them. Our school has always been a special place to me. Having taught around 500 students, each one holds a place in my heart. I truly feel like the luckiest person alive.
