Support Our Classrooms
At Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy, families often ask: What can I do to help my child’s classroom? One of the most direct ways is through classroom donations. These contributions make a real difference in our teachers’ ability to create engaging, well-resourced learning environments.
DonorsChoose
Many of our teachers use DonorsChoose to fund special projects and classroom needs. DonorsChoose allows teachers to post requests for materials, books, technology, or enrichment activities, and families and community members can give directly. It’s a wonderful way to know exactly what your donation is supporting. All donations made through their website are tax-deductible.
Teacher Wishlists
In addition to DonorsChoose, teachers may share wishlists on Amazon or other sites with items they’d like for their classrooms throughout the year—everything from books and art supplies to snacks and organizational tools. These lists give families a quick and easy way to purchase items that will have an immediate impact.
Everyday Donations
Sometimes teachers may request everyday items directly, like tissues, hand sanitizer, or classroom snacks. Even small contributions add up and help teachers stretch their resources further.
Every contribution counts. Whether you give through DonorsChoose, Amazon Wishlists, or directly to the classroom, your generosity supports our students and helps create a richer learning environment for everyone.
