Garden Day Updates

A special thank you to all the families who came out for our first Garden Workday of the year. We’re so excited to now have – new painted signs (especially the one for our garden mascot!), a new worm bin (complete with worms!), a more organized garden space, a cleared and prepped space ready for our chicken coop, a beautiful tree area, some newly planted herbs, and some amended beds ready for compost and mulch.

Given our successful garden workday, we’re ready to spread mulch and assemble our new chicken coop! Join Miss Grace at the Garden Classroom Friday, September 22 from 9:35-9:45am to spread mulch, or stay longer to construct our chicken coop!

Thank you to @GoodEggs for providing tasty fruit & cakes to keep our energy high during our garden workday this past Saturday! Friends – the next time you order from Good Eggs, use HARVEYMILK when you checkout to get $15 off, and during October and November, they’ll donate 10% of your order to HMCRA.
