    Sloat Growing Up Green Week, March 13–22

    Shop at any Sloat Garden Center during Growing Up Green week, Mar. 13–22, 2026, and our school will receive 10% of purchases back in the form of a Sloat gift card! (The SFUSD school with the highest participation will receive 20% back).

    **If you don’t need garden supplies at home, gifts of bagged potting soil, pathway bark, small drought-tolerant plants, native plants, or succulents are always welcome at the school. Please contact garden@harveymilkpfc.org to discuss contributions or to get involved with the garden.

    Support our school with a night out at Firefly Restaurant in Noe Valley (4288 24th St)! Come in for dinner on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday in the month of February, let your server know the name of our public school (Harvey Milk), and 20% of your check will be donated back to that school.     Reading Without Limits: Stories That Matter with Maggie Tokuda-Hall

    Event & fundraiser benefiting Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy

    Join us for a special community fundraiser and author event at Books Inc, Chestnut!

    On Friday, February 27, 2026, from 6–7pm, acclaimed children’s author and Authors Against Book Bans founding member Maggie Tokuda-Hall will read from her work and speak about the importance of inclusive stories, intellectual freedom, and protecting young people’s right to access books that reflect the full world they live in.

    📍 Books Inc, Chestnut (in the Marina): 2251 Chestnut Street, San Francisco, 94123

    🕔 Author Talk & Reading: 6–7pm

    🛍️ 5–9pm: A portion of all store purchases benefit Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy, a San Francisco public school committed to civil rights, literacy, and belonging.

    Come hear powerful stories, support public education, and shop local—all in one evening. Families, educators, readers, and book lovers of all ages are welcome. This is a free event.

    Tacolicious fundraiser on Feb. 2!

    The Tacolicious School Project is an amazing initiative committed to giving back to the community by donating a portion of proceeds to local public schools, and HMCRA will the the recipient on Monday, February 2, 2026!

    DINE-IN OR PICK-UP: Come in to eat or pick-up food on Monday, Feb. 2 at the Mission location (741 Valencia St.) and present this flyer!

    (Note: Third-party deliveries, such as DoorDash, do not count toward the donation.)

    CATERING: Bring the School Project to you! Support our school by having a taco bar delivered to a meeting or event on Monday, Feb. 2. You must book through tsp@tacolicious.com and mention that it’s to support the TSP. To qualify for delivery, orders must total $500 or more.

    Remember that anyone can support, so spread the word beyond your schools and on to friends, family, and community!
